The two cottages, The Byre and The Stable, as their names suggest were formerly old barns which have been converted to a very high standard offering all the luxuries of modern living whilst retaining their original character and charm.
The accommodation in each cottage comprises a spacious living/kitchen/ dining area with open fires to provide a cosy atmosphere on cold evenings. They are finished to a very high standard and furnished tastefully to give a traditional rural feel while still offering all modern facilities. They have a TV/DVD, radio/CD player and the kitchens are fitted with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave oven to make life as easy as possible.
Each cottage has two large bedrooms, one fitted with a super-king sized bed for maximum comfort and the other with twin beds for family use. The double room can be converted to an extra twin if required.
There are two bathrooms in each, both with high pressure showers, one of which is en suite. Both are supplied with luxury towels and bedding and are centrally heated.
Cots and highchairs are also available for guests with young families.
There is plenty of car parking space plus storage and drying facilities for equipment associated with fishermen, golfers etc. In addition there is a BBQ area and a play area for children located within the safe environment of the courtyard.
The cottages are surrounded by 200 acres of farmland and are situated in a courtyard formation adjacent to the main farmhouse which itself is a listed building.
While enjoying idyllic rural surroundings the cottages are also very centrally located and easily accessible. They are located just one and a half miles off the A1 Belfast to Dublin carriageway and just three miles from the picturesque village of Hillsborough with its many tourist attractions, pubs, restaurants, and shops. The central location is ideal for exploring all parts of Northern Ireland.
